- September 23, 2026 N&V: Parent-Guardian Permission Packet sent home with students.
- September 28, 2026 N&V: Recommended start for in-class Toolkit lessons. Signed permission form should be returned to teacher by this date.
- October 22, 2026 N&V: Teachers must submit their nominee’s campaign video, entry forms, and media release forms to OICA by 5:00pm (must be received by this date and time).
- October 26, 2026 V-O: Recommended start for in-class Toolkit lessons.
- October 30, 2026: Statewide Election Candidates announced and voting information posted at OK.KidGovernor.org.
- November 2-10, 2026: Statewide Election!
- November 16-20, 2026: Live announcement of the elected 2027 Kid Governor (tentative).
- February 1, 2027: Inauguration in Oklahoma City. The 2027 Kid Governor, their family, their home class, and the Cabinet Members and their families are invited to attend the Inauguration in person. Participating classes can watch live online.
